Location - Winterfell Cabin

Welcome to the great state of Idaho! It is recommended that you take the route through US Hwy 20 as other routes are non-paved roads and often unplowed during winter. Turn off of US Hwy 20 onto Yale-Kilgore Rd and head about 13 miles down. Take a left onto Willow Creek Road. If you reach the keg springs parking lot you have gone too far. Head down Willow Creek Rd about 1.3 miles to SW Sagehen Drive which is about 0.25 miles past NW Sagehen. We are the first cabin on the right, located on the corner lot, you will turn into a loop driveway. Directions may take you too far down SW Sagehen drive so be aware. Look for the Winterfell Cabin signs on the driveway entrances.

Island Park, Idaho

ABOUT THE AREA

In the summer, Island Park is a destination city for anglers looking to catch trophy trout or families vacationing at resort ranches.  Others may come to ride horses, hike, go bike in the mountains, or camp next to a stream or lake.  Many come to see the Bald Eagles, grouse, Sandhill Cranes, songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, large and small mammals, and wildflowers.

In the winter, the area is a wonderland.  The forest has over 500 miles of snowmobile trails and groomed trails for snowshoeing and Nordic skiing.

Thousands of travelers from all over the world come every year to enjoy this picturesque land.  Many have second homes and come more frequently. Numerous hospitality businesses including restaurants, lounges, ATV and snowmobile rental, and other retail businesses line the city’s 36.8-mile Main Street.  However, just outside Main Street’s narrow commercial corridor is a broad expanse of beautiful scenery and open spaces.
